Organic Beurre Bosc Pears

Beurre Bosc Pears originated in France as a chance seedling in 1835. Buerre is the French term for butter, a fitting epithet for the melt-in-your-mouth quality of Beurre Bosc.
Its rough, russet skin ranges from greenish brown to cinnamon. The flesh is crisp, juicy, and aromatic. The flavor is eloquently sweet with a tart note. It is an excellent dessert pear, and a good choice for eating raw or poaching. With its long tapering neck and symmetrical shape, this pear has an elegant profile. It’s no surprise that Beurre Bosc has been dubbed the “aristocrat of pears.”
